A letter from Janet

After having written by e-mail regarding getting Tiny Tim CDs, I was surprised and delighted today to get an e-mail with this Web address. What an amazing electronic world this is.

Tiny Tim at Basin Street WestAs you perhaps know, he was a true troubadour, and a real character I met Tiny in 1969 in San Francisco. While dining with family and friends at a hotel, I went to the lobby area, and in he came (actually it had been publicized in the paper that he would be arriving to promote his book of Beautiful Things). Another girl and I rode in the elevator with him, we were talking, he and I got out and kept talking, and by the time we felt like stopping my parents and friends had gone home!

Anyway, we spoke or got together on and off through the years, though I hadn't spoken to him for awhile. He meant a lot to me. It was quite an adventure.

As you perhaps know, he was a true troubadour, and a real character in the best sense of the word. It must have been quite a loss-I remember thinking when I heard of his death, after so many years, what will it be like knowing he's not on earth anymore? He is still here in a way.

Attached is a photo, circa 1972, of a concert he did at Basin Street West, San Francisco.

Peace and All Good to you,
Janet
