"IT'S TINY WEDDING"!!A nervous but happy Tiny Tim marched down the aisle with his Miss Vicki in front of millions of Johnny Carson viewers and a crowded theatre which couldn't possibly hold the 400 wedding guests. Our Psyche Pscene correspondent, Sharon Fox and her friend Rita McConnachie
from Gary, attended the festivities at NBC and the reception following at the
Ground Floor Restaurant at CBS. Both girls are long time friends and confidants of Tiny's.
Press flew in from around the world. Tiny concluded the non-denominational
ceremony by planting a gentle kiss on the lips of his bride. His wedding gift to Vicki
was a brooch of two doves surrounded by diamonds with eyes of rubies. Tiny's ring
has Vicki's initials engraved in diamonds. Both Sharon and Rita feel that Tiny is
extremely sincere, serious, and sensitive about his marriage. He felt he owed Johnny
Carson a great deal and so agreed to have his wedding televised. All the tulips (white,
yellow, and red) were flown fresh from Holland and the NBC studio had ot be kept at a tempature
of 55 degrees all day while the flowers were being arranged. Just minutes after the show they were completely
trampled by the press. All the Victorian-style clothing worn by the wedding party was designed by
Jeffrey Martin. At the reception Tiny serenaded his wife before cutting the cake. Figurines atop
the multi-layered cake were to be sentimentally treasured by the bride and groom but a person or
persons unknown walked off with them. All in all Sharon and Rita felt honored to be there and hope that
Mrs. Vicki will make their Tiny happy.
