Tiny Tim Re-emerges In Country Music!

As the current wave of nostalgia for the 50's and 60's continues to grow, yet another product of that era of long hair and love beads is poised for newly-found stardom ... the inimitable Tiny Tim!
    You read it right! The singer who created an international sensation with his "Tiptoe Through The Tulips" single and countless network TV appearances has just released a country single for the Nashville-based NLT records entitles "Leave Me Satisfied," which is already making an impact on country record charts and radio playlists across the nation.
    The ukulele-strumming entertainer is also scheduled to appear as a headliner at the upcoming Brighton Music Festival, one of England's most prestigious musical events, a performance which will coincide with the release of the film "Street Of Dreams," a two and one-half hour music documentary, in which Tiny Tim is the featured artist. Tiny Tim has just reurned from London where he did all the press and TV promotionn for the Brighton Festival.
    Although Tiny's re-emergence as a country singer may be surprising to some, NLT Records President Gordon D. Stinson said, "I am confident that country fans and radio personnel will quickly warm to this unique entertainer. Tiny has always been a gret admirer of all types of music, but he's always had a particular fondess for country."
    Outstanding producer Dan Mitchell is very pleased with Tiny's single product and is working hard toward the completion of Tiny Tim's album for NLT Records which is scheduled for release in mid-April. "It has been a real pleasure working with this talented, intelligent and dedicated legend of the music business. Frankly, I was quite surprised when Gordon Stinson told me who I was scheduled to produce. But, thanks to Tiny Tim's serious effort, it has been a highly successful effort for all involved. We have been getting great response back from radio, and the record has only been out there a few days. The Corbitt Company in Nashville is handling the coordination of distribution on the single and, from all indications, has a good deal of distributing to do."
    That Tiny Tim is one of the phenomenal talents of our era, there can be little doubt. However, when one listens to him sing his new traditional country song, there is a revelation which takes place. Initially, many will want to listen out of curiosity ... expecting the falsetto voice so many remember from the 1960's Tiny Tim. But, when the needle is dropped on the disc, many mouths drop open, too. You will her a baritone vocal which still has the natural vibrato and a unique sound, and you will hear Tiny Tim doing a tight country song his way. But, then ... Tiny has become a legend by doing things his way. Tiny Tim is a pleasant surprise for country music!
